WHY IT'S FOR SALE. Bonnie, 45, is a product marketing specialist. She has two kids and recently got engaged. She and her fiancé are selling their homes and plan to buy one together in Port Washington.
Bonnie bought her expanded ranch in 1994. The home, built in 1953, has five bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms and sits on a 63-by-125-foot lot. Bonnie talks about the appeal of the home:
“The property is across the street from Sands Point, so it’s nice, quiet and tranquil, yet it’s only a few blocks to the school. It’s close to town and in a good location. The Port Washington train [ride] is only 35 minutes to New York City, but you’re really still out in the suburbs.
The master bedroom suite has a beautiful Jacuzzi bath with a separate shower. My walk-in closet is room size. There are vaulted ceilings in the bedroom and master bath ... When I bought the house, we added the family room, which has sliders to the backyard ... One wall of the family room is all windows looking out into the yard ... The master suite was added 10 years ago ... One of the bedrooms downstairs I use as my office. The three bedrooms upstairs are nice size and with big closets ... There are hardwood floors on the first floor.”
