Why it’s for sale “It’s a lot of house,” says Carlin, 68, noting she is ready to downsize.

Call it a win-win. Carlin, who moved into this 10-room ranch in 1969 and raised her three children here, says she has enjoyed her house as much as its location. “It’s a great family home . . . and you can get anywhere in four minutes,” Carlin says. “The hospital is four minutes from my house and the post office is four minutes away." She said the city has its own police department and recreation areas, including three beaches, a golf course and tennis courts. The house has wood floors, four bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms and updated rooms, including an eat-in kitchen. Carlin said her favorite spot is the living room, which has a fireplace and French doors. But what makes this room special is its “quirky” decor, which includes items that once belonged to her mother and grandmother. Carlin, a recently retired nurse, chats some more about the house and property:

“It’s a well-kept house. Things here have been done and redone. I probably have my third roof and second driveway . . . It [the house] has a screened in-porch, two patios and and in-ground pool with a 2-year-old liner . . . And the neighbors are nice.”
