Why you should buy his house in Smithtown

The Reed’ five-bedroom, three-bathroom ranch is brick and stone construction and was built in 1962. It sits on two verdant acres in the center of the Smithtown community. Kathy talks about the house:
“I love the log cabin Adirondack look. In the living room and den, we have pine walls and beams. We have a stone fireplace in the living room and a full wall of stone with multiple sliding glass doors in the den. It’s country but not antique-y. Rustic charm is how I describe it.
We use the house as a four-bedroom. The fifth bedroom is used as an office ... The whole house was gutted and additions added ... 12 years ago ... The kitchen has ... all custom-hickory cabinets and a center island [that we use] as a breakfast bar. The three bathrooms have custom glass block showers. And a large Jacuzzi is in the master bath.
Kenny adds:
“The setting is absolutely stunning. It is a two-acre parklike setting. It has a natural pond, fully stocked with koi, bass, sunnies and turtles. It is fed by a stream that runs ... the entire length of the property ... to get from the house to the yard you have to cross one of two bridges to get to a football-field-size yard. We have gorgeous shrubs and ornamental trees ... and another koi pond with a waterfall at the ... front entrance of the house...."
