Why it’s for sale: Jeanine, 77, a homemaker, and Jean Claude, 76, who is retired from the freight forwarding industry, say they’re moving to Florida full time.

The hardwood floors are gleaming and glossy in this 1,929-square-foot unit that the homeowners call their petit Versaille. Jeanine shares:

“Everyone thinks this home is beautiful, especially with our furnishings from France. That’s the first thing they say. Then they see the view, which is absolutely gorgeous. I think we have the best view in the Admiralty. It’s an unbroken view and gorgeous in every season.

"The terraces are private from one another. We have three bedrooms. They’re very spacious, and the closet mirrors make the rooms seem even larger. We spend most of our time in the living room, which has a wood-burning fireplace and a cathedral ceiling.

"There’s a large sliding glass door out to the terrace. . . . The kitchen cabinets are custom-made, and the appliances are either Gaggenau or Sub-Zero. There’s a large eating area with a high ceiling and a semicircle wall of windows at the other end of the kitchen. That chandelier will be staying.

"The master bedroom has a bathroom and walk-in closet and a sliding-glass door out to the terrace. The neighborhood is very quiet. This is a gated community, and we feel very safe here.

"We have a pool, tennis courts and a marina. We’re going to miss this. It’s a rare community with beautiful trees, manicured property and lakes and ponds.”
