Why it’s for sale: Coly, 65, president of a nonprofit parapsychology foundation, and Damalas, 75, a retired painting contractor, say they want to downsize.
Coly and Damalas are original owners in this condo complex of nine units. Lisette explains the appeal:
“This is a fisherman’s or boater’s paradise. There’s a deepwater dock steps from the condo. . . . The rooms are expansive. Three exposures have water views. With the deck doors open and breezes running through, I don’t often need air-conditioning.
"The light from outside -- I’m going to miss that along with the serenity of the unimpeded water views. . . . There are two decks, one off the living room and one off the master bedroom upstairs. There are wood-burning fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom. . . .
"We’ve had large parties here, especially in the summer. When you have waterfront property, everyone seems to be ‘in your area,’ even if they live in Manhattan. Next to the property is a village beach with a lifeguard, basketball hoops and a playground. . . .
"We redid the kitchen with Silestone counters and new appliances and made a nice pass-through. You just take your drink and move out onto the deck.”
