“In the winter, it’s wonderful to sit by the wood-burning stove on the enclosed front porch and have breakfast or watch a snowstorm blow across the farm across the street. In the summer, we can enjoy our pool or take a five-minute walk to the bay or a 10-minute bike ride to the ocean. It’s a great location for anyone who likes to fish or clam.
“We added the dining room and master suite. The master suite has a large walk-in closet with a cathedral ceiling and sliding glass doors to the backyard and pool. The master bath has a 1904 claw-foot tub, two large granite-topped vanities and a fully-tiled stand-up shower.
“There’s beautiful lighting throughout the house. The dining room has a cathedral ceiling and one wall is all glass that overlooks the swimming pool. We resided the house with cedar shakes and put in a 16-by-38-foot inground pool.
“About 10 years ago, we redid the kitchen with granite counters and hardwood cabinetry. The neighborhood is beautiful, safe and quiet. Very friendly. You can walk to town, and the Jitney stops right down the street.”
