Why you should buy their house in Old Bethpage

The Bocks moved into this nine-room high-ranch about 13 years ago. They have enjoyed the area as much as the house. One attraction to Old Bethpage, says Caroline, was the Plainview-Old Bethpage Kindergarten Center, which has an all-day program. “It’s a great start to an education,” Caroline says.
Trail View State Park’s paved bike trails run behind the house, though they’re not visible from the yard and access to the trails is about three blocks away. The property is 86-by-116 feet and has an in-ground pool.
There are five bedrooms, three full bathrooms and amenities including central air-conditioning, in-ground sprinklers and a two-car garage. Caroline chats some more about the house and the neighborhood:
“We expanded and updated the kitchen. My one indulgence was putting in an Italian marble backsplash. ... It’s a nice and airy sunny kitchen with big picture windows overlooking a beautiful backyard. It’s wooded and private. ... The dining room has a picture window, too -- it’s very light-filled. . . . I enjoy that we have four bedrooms upstairs and a fifth downstairs that I use as my office. In the past, we used it as a guest room and a nanny’s room. . . . The lower level is spacious with a custom wet bar and a fireplace. . . . We live on a great family block. It’s the type of neighborhood where kids go outside and play ball together. It’s been great for my son."
