Why you should buy their house in Setauket

The Ledogars have owned their four-bedroom 3½-bath Colonial since 1988 and raised their three now-adult sons there. The house was built in 1988 and is on a .52-acre lot. What separates this property from other Colonials in the area is the two-story barn in the backyard. Barbara talks about the home:
“There are 3 acres behind us that cannot be built on .?.?. We put in a master bedroom and master bathroom over the attached two-car garage with his-and-hers bathrooms. We upgraded the kitchen with new cabinets, countertops and appliances. We put in a stone fireplace and refinished the second-floor hardwood floors .?.?. We have a two-story, 24-by-40-foot barn that actually matches the exterior of the house. My husband builds hot rods in there. But that [space] could be whatever anybody wants it to be .?.?. We put in the in-ground pool and have Trek decking around it. The whole pool and deck area is lit. The home is in the historic district of Setauket .?.?. It’s a dead-end street so there’s no through traffic.”
