Gastaldo and Alvarez have owned their home for 13½ years. The 1954 expanded ranch has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and sits on .35 of an acre in the “flower section” of Syosset. The couple bought the house specifically because children in the area attend the Berry Hill Elementary School. The home has central air-conditioning and an upgraded electric service.
Paul says about the home:
“Both bathrooms were completely renovated, down to the electric and plumbing .?.?. We changed the living room, dining room and piano room floors to hardwood mahogany .?.?. And the floors in the three bedrooms are completely refinished .?.?. We have a piano room. That’s where my daughter played .?.?. The house is a corner ranch, which means you can go up or across, and it’s on a large 95-by-182 lot. There’s a detached 1½-car garage. One part is for the car, and the other is finished with Sheetrock and flooring. We made it to be an outdoor playroom for my daughter .?.?. there are sliding glass doors from the playroom.”
