Why you should buy their house: Rockville Centre

When the Gallaghers moved in to this third-floor corner apartment in 2005, it was already in great shape, Nancy says. They put their own stamp on it by painting the walls — mostly in muted colors. They also renovated the kitchen and re-tiled the bathroom. The five-room unit includes two bedrooms. The building has an elevator, a gym, a bike room and a party room. “It was built in 1929 and has so much cool history,” Nancy says. According to a plaque displayed in the lobby, the building served as a control center during World War II to protect against airstrikes for the Rockville Centre Civil Protection and Defence Unit. Nancy goes on:
“It’s a beautiful apartment with a nice layout .?.?. It’s spacious with high ceilings, a new kitchen and lots of charm .?.?. It has windows in every room on every side, so it’s very bright and sunny. That’s a big deal to me .?.?. I love the location. We walk everywhere .?.?. The building itself is a beautiful Tudor located in the heart of Rockville Centre.”
