Why they are selling Rick, 42, a home contractor, and Mary, 41, a schoolteacher, needs a bigger house. They have their eye on a home a half mile away.
When the Schneiders bought this home in 1998, they had no children. Four children later, they want to move to a larger home. Because Rick is a home contractor, nearly every room has been renovated in this four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Cape that was built in 1968 and sits on almost a quarter-acre. Mary envisions the home being bought as a second residence for an established couple or a primary residence for a young family. She shares her thoughts about the home:
“Our family room is one of my favorite areas. On Friday nights, the family eats homemade pizza in front of the granite fireplace ... My husband took the house from the 1960s with multicolor Formica counters into the 21st century with granite and marble in the kitchen and bathrooms ... The neighborhood is quiet in the winter and fall and active and friendly in the spring and summer.”
