Why it’s for sale The couple plan to relocate to Alpharetta, Ga., to be closer to their son and his fiancee. Peter, 60, is semiretired from a career in aerospace sales, and Pamela, 55, is a music teacher.

In the 29 years since Ziers first made this eight-room ranch their home, they have taken tremendous pride in caring for it, they say. Recent projects have included the addition of a heated four-season sunroom and a kitchen renovation boasting new cabinets, a tile backsplash and quartz countertops. About three years ago, the front and rear yards with in-ground sprinklers, were professionally landscaped. The bi-level backyard, designed with a grassy area and a raised bluestone patio, is “very peaceful,” says Peter, who talks some more about the three-bedroom, one-bathroom house:

“Our house has been meticulously cared for ... It has a large master bedroom and an open concept with a large living room that flows into the formal dining room. We have a family room with skylights, which is like the heart of the home where we spend the most time ... We have a neighborhood with young families and older families — all so kind, friendly and helpful ... The elementary, middle and high schools are within walking distance as is the train station.”
