Why it’s for sale: Stefanie, 29, is a stay-at-home mother, and Joseph, 29, is a business owner. They have one child and are moving to Connecticut for job- related reasons.

The Scarettas purchased their 2002 Colonial about six years ago. Updates include a finished basement, where the couple added a home office and a den with a wet bar. They also built a 30-foot deck for entertaining and extended the driveway to fit two cars side-by-side. The 1,510-square-foot home has three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom, vaulted ceilings and a large, semicircular window that “adds a lot of character to the room,” Stefanie says. The house is situated on a .18-acre lot in the North Shore Beach Property Owners Association. For an annual fee (of up to $275), members have access to a nearby private beach and clubhouse. Stefanie chats more:
“The kitchen is big and has a lot of counter space [and a] door that leads to the outdoor deck . . . [There’s] a wood-burning fireplace in the living room.”
