“We’ve renovated the whole house. The downstairs we redid for my mom. It was a wide-open space, and we created a kitchen, a bathroom, a big master bedroom with an en suite bath, a living room and an oversized mud-laundry room with built-in cabinetry. She has a walkout entrance to a huge deck. We did wood plank tiling on the floor.
"Upstairs we didn’t have to open any walls, and I was able to focus on installing box molding in the living, dining room, kitchen and hallway. We added a granite slab for the kitchen island and a vegetable sink with a faucet. We did new plumbing and new lighting fixtures throughout the house. The main floor has beautiful oak hardwood flooring throughout except in the bathrooms. . . .
"We have a 20-by-40-foot pool with wraparound decking and have had 50 to 60 people for parties out there. It’s a home for entertaining.”
