ABC to add seven new shows this fall
ABC will add seven new series in the fall, including shows with big-name stars such as Michael Chiklis, Dana Delany and Michael Imperioli. The network also announced that "Ugly Betty's" Vanessa Williams will be joining the cast of "Desperate Housewives."
And in midseason, former "Friends" star Matthew Perry will be returning to prime time comedy with "Mr. Sunshine." (Post-"Friends," he starred in the ill-fated 2006-07 NBC drama, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.") The sitcom could launch during November sweeps. It's about a manager of a San Diego sports arena who starts to think about what he wants to do with the rest of his life after he hits 40.
A new drama from "Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes about doctors in a jungle in South America is also slated for midseason.
