The Bonnaroo 2013 lineup is out and Roo’ers should be pumped.

Paul McCartney, Mumford & Sons and Tom Petty are headlining the annual 4-day music festival in Manchester, Tenn.

The legendary Beatle performing at Bonnaroo will for sure be a historic moment at the festival and a draw for music-lovers of all generations. Expect every festivalgoer to pack into the grounds of the main stage that night.

Mumford & Sons continue to make headlines after winning album of the year at the 2013 Grammys and will definitely rock it out as they make their first appearance on the festival’s main stage.

Now the question is — could we see a McCartney and Mumford collaboration during the festival? Remember 2009, when Bruce Springsteen and Pfish closed out Bonnaroo together. Just a thought.

And no strangers to Bonnaroo, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers always put on an amazing show and perform a 2-hour plus set that keeps fans dancing and singing the whole time.

But as everyone knows, sometimes it’s the bands taking the side stages that create the most buzz. Wilco, Björk, Pretty Lights, R. Kelly, Kendrick Lamar and Wu-Tang Clan are among the dozens of bands that will be jamming.

This year’s festival on the 700-acre farm kicks off June 13 and plays on until June 16. Tickets go on sale at noon on Saturday.

The announcement of the Bonnaroo lineup is a big day for the thousands of festivalgoers that make the trek from all parts of the country and even Canada.

It’s an annual journey for the nearly 100,000 music-lovers braving the oppressive Tennessee heat — often times reaching the high 90s.

Cars packed with sleeping bags, canopies, coolers and Bonnaroo-or-Bust signs make their way to the farm where Roo’ers set up camp and say goodbye to the amenities of regular life.

Young professionals trade in their suits for Birkenstocks. Starbucks is replaced with copious amounts of water, Gatorade and beer. Air-conditioned apartments and comfy beds become a distant memory as stuffy tents and air mattresses provide nighttime shelter.

Well Roo’ers get your crew lined up because this 2013 Bonnaroo lineup is sick. See you in June.
