Longtime CBS News anchor Dan Rather, whose 2012 memoir was entitled “Rather Outspoken,” is speaking out again.

On Thursday, Rather announced on his Facebook page that he will be publishing a new book, titled “What Unites Us.”

“I want to share my sense of the basic tenets that I see as the foundation of the country I hold so dear,” he wrote. “It is patriotism, as I define it, not as a divisive cudgel but a common purpose.”

The book will be published on Nov. 7, almost a year after the presidential election, by Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill.
