You’ve used the mop and seen the movie, now you can read the book. Joy Mangano will publish an inspirational memoir, “Inventing Joy,” with Simon & Schuster on Nov. 7.

This is the first book from the St. James entrepreneur and mother who invented the Miracle Mop, the self-wringing cotton mop that she expanded into a $3 billion housewares empire. Her story was adapted for the Oscar-nominated 2015 film “Joy,” starring Jennifer Lawrence.

In a statement released by her publisher, Mangano said, “I hope that by giving a little window into my life . . . I might help others realize that they, too, can create a world that is a little better and a little brighter for themselves and those around them.”
