Aaron Carter says he and girlfriend are not expecting a child

After posting tweets last month that suggested he and his girlfriend, artist Lina Valentina, were expecting their first child together, singer Aaron Carter now says they are not.
"A few weeks ago, I posted something on social media about hoping to have a child soon and it seems that started some rumors," Carter, 31, told E! News on Tuesday. "I am looking forward to becoming a dad, but am not expecting a child right now."
The "I Want Candy" singer had sparked speculation on Nov. 20 after tweeting, "I'm going to be proposing soon to my gf and we might just be expecting...." He added that he and Valentina "are so madly in love. … We have a beautiful home and some VERY exciting news to share soon."
Minutes later he added in response to a fan, "I have a lovely woman by myside [sic] and we're very excited about our future and our family we are starting." Four emojis at the end included those of an engagement ring and a baby.
A month before this, Carter posted a photo of himself and Valentina on Instagram and wrote, "I WILL marry you baby and we WILL have our daughter. Just bought a house to start our lives together and have OUR family."
