Accusations at fever pitch in Berry-ex case

The war of words escalated Wednesday between Halle Berry and her former paramour, French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, as accusations of her jealous rants, his racial slurs and worse played out in a highly public custody fight over their daughter, Nahla, 2.
"Once they broke up he became verbally threatening to Halle," Aubry's former friend and business partner Stephane Bibeau told People magazine. "He is a vindictive guy." Bibeau and other sources close to Berry, 44, claim that Aubry, 35, had used a racial slur against her, the magazine said.
Citing friends of Berry, TMZ.com said that the Oscar-winner is claiming Nahla cries hysterically and throws tantrums when Aubry picks her up for visitations, and that Berry believes something bad is occurring.
Aubry, for his part, has several angry and jealous e-mails, text messages and voice mails from Berry, according to RadarOnline.com, which reported he has no plans to leak them to the media but may present them at family court.
"Gabriel truly does not want to do anything at all that could potentially damage his daughter, and he knows attacking Halle in the press would ultimately do that," a source told Radar. Berry, the source said, "left a crazy message on Gabe's cell just after some pictures came out of him at a Lakers game with a girl last year. She is mega, mega [upset] in the message, calling him, and the girl, all kinds of names. . . . I really felt for the guy - I mean, he hadn't done anything wrong - just gone on a date!"
