Actress Juliette Lewis hurt in hit-run crash
Actress-rocker Juliette Lewis was hospitalized in Los Angeles after a hit-and-run Honda broadsided the Lincoln Town Car driving her home from an event for "Conviction," her upcoming film with Hilary Swank, Sam Rockwell and Minnie Driver.
The accident happened at a Burbank intersection at 10:19 p.m. Wednesday, according to TMZ.com
"The sedan Juliette was traveling in was completely totaled," her representative, Carleen Donovan, said in a statement. Lewis, 37, "went to the hospital to be checked out and is a bit banged up and sore but otherwise thankfully OK," Donovan added. "She is now resting at home."
Burbank Police spokesman Sgt. Robert Quesada told E! News, "Ms. Lewis complained about pain to her back and neck and [the] back of her head and had bruising on her arm."
The driver of the vehicle that totaled the chauffeured Town Car "took off," Quesada said, though police found the abandoned Honda a few blocks away.
Police are investigating.
