Alec Baldwin to guest star on 'SVU'
Alec Baldwin has one last TV role to play before he chucks it all and heads west (or so he says; we'll see), reports Newsday's Verne Gay. He'll play a newspaper columnist on the March 19 episode of "Law & Order: SVU," which is shooting this week. Katie Couric will also appear (as a talk show host). NBC describes Baldwin's character as "a controversial New York newspaper columnist who questions the SVU squad's motives during the investigation of a potential hate crime/rape case." Series star Mariska Hargitay is directing the episode.
