'American Pie' star Chris Klein engaged
Chris Klein, 35, who rose to fame in the 1999 film "American Pie," is engaged, People magazine reports. The actor proposed to Laina Rose Thyfault, 29, during the weekend, his rep, Jaime Primak Sullivan, confirmed. "Chris and Laina are very happy and look forward to celebrating their engagement over the holidays," Sullivan said. The couple met at a mutual friend's wedding and have been dating for more than three years. Klein was previously engaged to Katie Holmes, but the pair split in 2005.
