Amy Schumer was hospitalized Monday in Paris. She was also hospitalized this summer while filming in Hawaii and then canceled bookstore appearances in Huntington and elsewhere last month because of what booksellers were told was illness.

The comedy star, 35, initially posted an Instagram image of herself and boyfriend Ben Hanisch in bed, captioned, “Thanks for everything Paris! Except the food poisoning. #nooooooooooo,” followed by hashtags for the fashion house Balmain and for New York Fashion Week.

Schumer followed that post with a video of herself at a well-appointed dining table by a window. “Trying to eat chicken broth post puke fest,” she captioned the clip, in which she used a ladle to eat directly from a serving bowl, with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Within seven hours, however, the Rockville Centre-raised comic posted a collage of three photos of herself in an unidentified Parisian hospital, wearing a hospital gown on a gurney that appeared to be in a corridor by a nurse’s station. Shortly after that, she uploaded a humorous parody of a dating-app video. The caption reads “Pretty fired up to meet someone,” and she says into the camera, “Hi. OK, this is my first time making one of these videos, but, y’know, it’s a new time. So, I, I — my name is Amy. I’m 35. I love just grabbing life by its horns and experiencing everything. And I love music and food. And I really just want someone to share all of that with. So, I’m taking a chance. So [expletive],” she ends with a comical grimace.

By Tuesday morning, she was sufficiently recovered to post a note supporting actress-writer-producer Lena Dunham, who had alerted her own social-media followers that Instagram was adding user-adjustable filters to help prevent cyberbullying. “Thanks for the heads up leenz!” Schumer wrote. “We can all deal with more love in this life! Also I feel better and will do all my shows next week and will go see the queen Beyoncé!.”

With Schumer scheduled to perform three Southern California dates from Thursday through Saturday, she likely refers to Beyoncé’s concert Wednesday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Schumer comes to Madison Square Garden on Oct. 18.
