Mitch Winehouse has shot down rumors of a movie biography about his late daughter, singer Amy Winehouse.

"It would hardly be a biopic without the music and we'd never allow the songs to be released," Winehouse, told the British newspaper the Daily Mail. HarperCollins is slated to publish a memoir, however, that he will write about his daughter.

All profits from that, he said, will go the charitable Amy Winehouse Foundation, founded in November on what would have been the singer's 28th birthday. Winehouse died July 23 of what the coroner ruled as "misadventure" after ingesting a large amount of alcohol.

Mitch Winehouse took to Twitter on Monday night, London time, to counter a related rumor plus one other. "I never said Lady Gaga will play Amy in film," he wrote. "Also Amy's room not a shrine. Wot a load of rubbish."

Amy Winehouse's recently released posthumous album, "Lioness: Hidden Treasures," has become a hit in her native U.K.
