Emmy Award-winning comedian Aziz Ansari, who has been performing sporadic stand-up shows since an anonymous accusation of sexual misconduct surfaced in January, is bringing his "Working Out New Material" tour to The Paramount in Huntington on Monday, Sept. 24.

"More pop ups next week," the 35-year-old creator-star of "Master of None" posted Wednesday on Instagram, adding, "Thanks to everyone who came out in TN and SC. Stay safe in the Carolinas," he wrote, in reference to Hurricane Florence. Ansari, a South Carolina native, had performed in his home state's Charleston Gaillard Center on Sept. 4, 10 days before the storm made landfall.

The Paramount said the show, scheduled for 7 p.m., has a four-ticket limit and that audience-members' phones and smart watches will be secured in locked pouches that patrons keep with them and that will be unlocked after the show or, if needed earlier, at unlocking stations in the lobby.

In January, a 23-year-old Brooklyn-based photographer wrote anonymously at Babe.net that during a first date with Ansari in which they returned to his TriBeCa apartment, she felt pressured to have intercourse, which did not occur, though other physical acts did.

Ansari told the website in a statement that he and the woman "went out to dinner, and afterwards we ended up engaging in sexual activity, which by all indications was completely consensual. The next day, I got a text from her saying that although 'it may have seemed okay,' upon further reflection, she felt uncomfortable. It was true that everything did seem okay to me, so when I heard that it was not the case for her, I was surprised and concerned. I took her words to heart and responded privately after taking the time to process what she had said. I continue to support the movement that is happening in our culture. It is necessary and long overdue."

Ansari performed unannounced sets at the Comedy Cellar in Greenwich Village in May, and by August was performing in cities including Philadelphia, Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin. In addition to his Paramount show, he is scheduled to perform in New Haven, Connecticut; Providence, Rhode Island; and Portland, Maine, through Sept. 28.
