Beyoncé, Jay-Z face off for BET video award
Beyoncé will battle her husband, Jay-Z, for video of the year at the BET Awards, and now both performers are confirmed to attend, The Associated Press reports.
Up for six awards, Beyoncé is the second most-nominated act.
Kanye West leads the pack with seven nominations. Jay-Z is nominated for five awards.
Two of West and Jay-Z's collaborative songs are up for video of the year. Beyoncé is also nominated twice in the category. The final nominee is Usher.
Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj and Usher are set to perform. And Whitney Houston's mother is part of a tribute to the late superstar that will include other singers.
Among the award presenters will be Jamie Foxx, Quentin Tarantino and Tyler Perry.
Samuel L. Jackson will host the show, which will be held on Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. "BET Awards 2012 Pre-Show: Live! Red! Ready!" airs at 6 Sunday night, followed at 8 by the awards, on BET.
