Two people identified as Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez walk out of Flying Point Surf and Sport in Bridgehampton after shopping for clothes for hanging in the Hamptons. They spent about $700, an employee says. According to a store patron, Bieber purchased a Billabong swimsuit, some hats and a T-shirt, and Gomez bought a Free People dress and a Vix bathing suit. Each bought a pair of Toms shoes. (July 1, 2011) Credit: Matt King

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are sparking up the Hamptons this Fourth of July weekend -- OMG!

The pop icon and his actress girlfriend have been spotted at several local haunts, including Flying Point Surf & Sport in Bridgehampton, where they picked up $700 worth of swimsuits and other apparel.

They also lit up Bridgehampton Candy Kitchen, where employees said a customer waiting in line paid for the couple's mint chocolate chip ice cream after the teen stars didn't have cash. The store doesn't take credit cards.

Two 14-year-old girls -- self-proclaimed "Beliebers" -- were in Bridgehampton hoping to catch a glimpse. They live in New Jersey, but are staying in Water Mill.

Although tempted, the girls said they weren't going on a Bieber hunt.

"We're not stalkers," one said.

"I kind of want to be," the other said with a laugh.

Musician Russell Simmons, who has a home in East Hampton, tweeted pictures of Bieber with his son. There were other reports Saturday of the couple making a brief appearance on Cooper's Beach in Southampton and lounging on a yacht in Sag Harbor Bay.

The buzz didn't impress Karl Sadowski, 22, who works at the Bridgehampton Starbucks. Celebrities come through every summer, he noted.

"Jay-Z . . . Beyoncé . . . Britney Spears . . . That's a little bit more big of a deal than seeing a little teenage pop star," he said.
