Billy Bush, Sydney Davis separating after nearly 20 years of marriage

Former “Access Hollywood” correspondent and “Today” co-anchor Billy Bush and his wife, Sydney Davis, are separating.
“After almost 20 years of marriage, they have separated for the moment to evaluate their life together,” a representative for Bush, 45, said in a statement. “They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future.”
Bush — a nephew and cousin, respectively, of former presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush — and Davis married in April 1998 and have three daughters: Josie, 18, Mary, 16, and Lillie, 12.
Bush was fired from “Today” last October, after an 11-year-old “Access Hollywood” video surfaced in which Bush and Donald Trump were heard engaging in vulgar conversation about women.
He told “The Hollywood Reporter” in May, in his first extended interview on the topic, that Davis “knows the environment and the atmosphere I was in at the time, and she knows very well the person she married. She has been very supportive from the very beginning.” When asked if anyone had reached out to him to express displeasure at the leaked conversation, Bush replied, “No . . . but I did have some frank conversations with people who said, ‘You have to understand the moment and that it was terrible and why people reacted.’ My wife said that to me. She said: ‘It’s not a good moment. You know that?’ I said, ‘I know.’ ”
