The contentious custody battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt is going to trial.
Documents obtained by several media outlets show a court date of Dec. 4. Academy Award-winning actress Jolie, 43, has asked for physical custody of the couple's six children, sons Maddox, 16, and Pax, 13; daughters Zahara, 12, and Shiloh, 11; and brother-and-sister twins Knox and Vivienne, 9. Pitt, 54, who has four Oscar nominations as actor and a win as best-picture producer of "12 Years a Slave” (2013), wants joint legal and physical custody.
The couple began a relationship while filming "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (2005) and were together for nearly a decade when they married in August 2014. Jolie filed for divorce on Sept. 19, 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
