Britney Spears' dad seeks 'allowance' hike

Britney Spears' dad wants more money. Jamie Spears, who has received $16,000 a month since he was appointed his daughter's conservator in 2008, is now asking the court to approve an increase in his house allowance, E! News reports. Spears is asking to be reimbursed an additional $800 a month for his office expenses for the previous year. This would be in addition to the $1,200 a month he received for an office that, he says, is "dedicated to Britney's activities." A hearing will be held Oct. 29 on whether to approve the request.
