Before his untimely death at age 35 in 1984, Andy Kaufman made a name for himself as an eccentric comedian appearing on shows including "Saturday Night Live," "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" and "Van Dyke and Company." He is best known for his role as "Latka Gravas" on "Taxi," which he played alongside fellow Long Islander and Malverne High School graduate, Tony Danza.
