Charlize Theron, who has kept her baby son Jackson swaddled and out of view while in public, has begun allowing the tyke to be seen since his adoption was announced on March 14.

The Oscar winner was with the 6-month-old, his face uncovered, Monday at Los Angeles International Airport, said ABC News, and at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris Tuesday, added Us Weekly.

People magazine said yesterday that Jackson had been visible with Theron before the trip, as she ran errands that included a post office visit for passport photos.

Single-mom Theron, 36, called her son "the coolest kid ever" in an interview in the May issue of British Vogue, telling the magazine, "I've always been very honest in saying I wanted a family. I've always known I wanted a family."

She said she hoped to be, like her own mother, "fair, tough, loving and supportive. My mom has made it possible for me to be who I am. Our family is everything. Her greatest skill was encouraging me to find my own person and own independence."

The "Young Adult" producer-star is in France promoting her film "Snow White and the Huntsman," scheduled for release June 1. She also stars in director Ridley Scott's "Prometheus," in theaters June 8.
