Chris Brown's jet makes emergency landing
Singer Chris Brown, en route from Los Angeles to New York to attend the 2013 Met Gala on Monday, was forced to make an emergency landing at a Burbank, Calif, airport when the private plane carrying him filled with smoke after takeoff. TMZ.com said Tuesday that seven to eight minutes after the Gulfstream 3 jet had departed from the same airport, the pilot returned and made the emergency landing. Brown, who turned 24 on Sunday, boarded another private jet within an hour, TMZ said, and eventually landed at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey, though too late to make the gala.
