Christine O'Donnell, who unsuccessfully ran last year for a Delaware U.S. Senate seat as the tea party-backed Republican candidate, says she's considering an offer to compete on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

On Monday, O'Donnell, 41, wrote on her Christine O'Donnell for US Senate Facebook page, "I just got the Official 'Ask' from Dancing With The Stars !! Although I am utterly flattered, my initial thought was to decline, as 2 year old nephew has more rhythm than me, and my two left feet!! However Eileen thinks i should do it. What do you think?"

Postings on a political forum suggest the Eileen she alluded to is her sister, one of her five siblings.

The network and the production company, BBC Worldwide Americas, traditionally do not comment on potential casting. The upcoming season's competitors are scheduled to be announced during "The Bachelor" on Monday night.
