Ciara is sporting some serious new bling — a large, sparkly diamond engagement ring.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, who has been dating the pop princess since last April, shared the news on his Instagram page on Friday that the two are officially engaged by posting a video of Ciara wearing the ring. “She said yes! Yeah!” he says in the video. “Making this thing happen. My baby.”

“Yay! I’m so excited,” Ciara, 30, adds. “God is so good.”

Wilson popped the question during a private champagne dinner on an island in the Seychelles near the coast of Africa. The football star also penned a heartfelt caption to go with the video. “She said Yes!!! Since Day 1 I knew you were the one,” he wrote. “No Greater feeling . . . #TrueLove @Ciara”

The couple, who are both religious, stated that they are maintaining a “no sex until marriage” vow in their relationship. In an August interview with “CBS This Morning,” Ciara called celibacy “awesome” and added that she and Wilson were “enjoying the great challenge they have set themselves” and were pleased to share their “journey” with other Christians.

This will be Ciara’s first marriage. She has a son, born in 2014, with rapper Future. Wilson, 27, was married to college sweetheart Ashton Meem from 2012 to 2014.
