Is Katie Couric leaving CBS -- for good? Online reports Wednesday indicated that talks between Couric and the network over a possible syndication show had broken off. TVguide.com Wednesday reported that an offer for her show had been pulled off the table, and that only ABC is in the running for her future talker, expected to bow in the fall of 2012.

Couric, who will be replaced by Scott Pelley as anchor of "The Evening News" on June 6, had been negotiating to stay at CBS with a talk show while still working at CBS News, and most likely at "60 Minutes." But Wednesday's TV Guide report sparked a flurry of speculation, including this from deadline.com, which confirmed that CBS had pulled its offer because -- as one source told the website -- "It felt like she was just keeping her foot in news in case something with the talk show went sour."
