Actress Denise Richards, already the single mother of two children, has just adopted a baby girl.

"Eloise Joni Richards is named after Denise's mom (Joni), and Denise and her daughters Sami and Lola chose the name Eloise," Richards' spokeswoman said in a statement to Newsday. "Denise and Eloise's big sisters couldn't be happier and feel incredibly blessed."

Sami, 7, and Lola, 5, are Richards' children with Charlie Sheen, whom she divorced in 2006.

The baby's namesake, Joni Richards, died of cancer four years ago.

After the news was announced, Richards -- best known as Bond girl Christmas Jones in the 1999 film "The World Is Not Enough" and as one of the two titular protagonists of the cult-hit 1998 erotic thriller "Wild Things" -- tweeted, "Thank you all for your sweet messages. The girls and I are over the moon and so is my dad Grandpa Irv."

The actress, 40, lives near her younger sister, Michelle, who has young daughters of her own.

Both Michelle and their father, Irv, with whom the sisters are close, appeared in Richards' 2008-09 E! reality show "Denise Richards: It's Complicated."

Richards' latest film is the direct-to-DVD "Cougars, Inc.," released in May. She has a memoir, "The Real Girl Next Door," scheduled for publication July 26.
