Actor Josh Duhamel's con-artist character on ABC's "All My Children," Leo du Pres, may have pulled off the biggest con of his life: Missing and presumed dead after attempting to rescue his fiancee Greenlee (Rebecca Budig) from a waterfall, he now returns to Pine Valley, alive and well.
As soap opera fans know, of course, "All My Children" itself is anything but alive and well, having been canceled after 41 years. With the show finishing its run in September, Duhamel returns in August for a one- or two-show cameo, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Duhamel, 38, the husband of pop singer Fergie, appeared on "All My Children" from 1999 to 2002, winning a Daytime Emmy Award for supporting actor that final year. He has since co-starred in the NBC series "Las Vegas" and played the title role in the film "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!" (2004). He also has portrayed the steadily promoted Captain / Major / Lieutenant Colonel William Lennox in the three "Transformers" movies.
Other notable "All My Children" alumni include Kim Delaney, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kelly Ripa and Christian Slater.
