Fergie, Josh Duhamel expecting first child
Fergie and her husband, "Safe Haven" star Josh Duhamel, Monday announced they are expecting their first child.
"Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!!" Fergie, 37, tweeted simultaneously with Duhamel posting "Fergie and Me and BABY makes three." Each linked to an uncaptioned photo of two toddlers, a boy with blond bangs and a younger girl with red hair holding a gray and black striped cat.
Fergie's representative afterward told the celebrity-gossip website Just Jared in a statement, "Yes, Fergie is pregnant!! We are pleased to confirm the news."
The couple -- who married in January 2009 in Malibu -- downplayed pregnancy rumors earlier this month. At the "Safe Haven" premiere on Feb. 5, Duhamel said, "No" when E! News asked if he had a comment on the speculation.
When reporter Jason Kennedy persisted, telling him "You said it will be your greatest career achievement, so we're waiting," Duhamel, 40, responded with, "Greatest life achievement."
Fergie, born Stacy Ann Ferguson, fended off pregnancy rumors in September on Rachael Ray's talk show, telling the host people believe she's pregnant "every time I fluctuate a few pounds."
