Harris reflects on decision not to wed Hef

Crystal Harris said Wednesday that the final decision to call off Saturday's wedding to Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner was hers.
"I called it off because I didn't think it was the right thing for me to do," former Playmate Harris, 25, told Ryan Seacrest on his syndicated radio show. "For a while I've been having second thoughts about everything," she explained. "I haven't really been at peace with myself lately."
"It was all just happening too fast for me," she said. She then asked herself, "Is this what I wanted? And it wasn't."
The twice-married Hefner, 85, took it in stride, she assured. "We both agreed that it wasn't the best idea to get married. He was doing it for me because he thought it was what I wanted," adding, "Hef's doing great."
His lifestyle, she noted, "isn't the most normal. This isn't the lifestyle for me, multiple girls all around. It's not the lifestyle I wanted."
In a real-life alternate-reality artifact, however, Harris is posing next-to-naked on the cover of the new July issue of Playboy, billed as Mrs. Crystal Hefner.
"It's a beautiful cover and it went to print a while ago," Harris explained. "I hope that people can enjoy it."
Another victim of the canceled nuptials is the two-hour Lifetime special "Marrying Hef," which would have shown the wedding and was scheduled to air in July.
"After the recent developments, we're not moving forward with the special," a network representative told The Hollywood Reporter Wednesday.
