Actress-singer Hilary Duff, posting on her website Sunday about her first wedding anniversary, announced that she and her husband are expecting their first baby.
"This weekend, Mike and I are celebrating our 1 year anniversary!" Duff, 23, wrote about herself and her hockey-pro husband, Mike Comrie, 30, of the Pittsburgh Penguins. "I can't believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you're having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that . . . BABY MAKES THREE!!!"
Duff, who is next scheduled to star opposite Josh Gad in the romantic comedy "She Wants Me," married Comrie on Aug. 14, 2010, in a ceremony at the Mediterranean Villa La Quinta in Santa Barbara, Calif. The couple began dating in 2007, after they found themselves hanging out together with a group of other weekend visitors at an Idaho resort. Comrie proposed to her in February of last year, during a Hawaiian vacation.
A few days ago she talked about starting a family, telling E! News in an interview posted Friday, "I think it was important to us that we had a year to just do whatever. . . . But we're thinking about it."
"We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives," Duff wrote on her website Sunday. "Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years!"
