"Alaska Daily" star Hilary Swank and her husband, social-venture entrepreneur Philip Schneider, are expecting twins.
"This is something that I've been wanting for a long time and my next thing is I'm going to be a mom," the two-time Academy Award winner announced Wednesday on "Good Morning America," adding, "And not just of one, but of two. … I can't believe it!"
She later said on "Live With Kelly and Ryan" that she was past the 12-week mark and had not previously told the cast and crew of her new ABC drama about a journalist seeking a fresh start in Alaska. Twins, she told the hosts, run in the family.
"My grandmother was a twin. My husband's grandmother was a twin. So we have twins in our lineage," she said.
After her round of morning shows, Swank posted a series of pregnancy images on Instagram and wrote, "Coming soon … DOUBLE feature!"
