Hilary Swank to host Thanksgiving dog special on Fox

Swank to host Thanksgiving dog special on FoxOscar-winnerand animal advocate Hilary Swank will co-host and serve as executive producer of a Fox Thanksgiving special, "The Great American Dog-a-Thon," Newsday contributor Frank Lovece reports. The network said yesterday the two-hour special would celebrate "rescue dogs," those adopted from shelters, and include such awards as "Best Celebrity/Dog Lookalike" and "Best Viral Dog Video." Also appearing with Swank are numerous celebrities, including Paula Abdul, Kristen Bell, Josh Duhamel, Fergie, Carrie Ann Inaba, Scarlett Johansson, Kesha, Miranda Lambert, LeAnn Rimes and Betty White.
