Hollywood Life: Taylor Swift says she's loving being single
Taylor Swift is single and loving it. In a new interview with People magazine, Swift, 24, talks about her personal life and the changes she has made over the past few years -- from her stylish short hair to working on inner happiness, which doesn't involve a man.
"The last couple of years have been about defining life on my own terms, being on your own, prioritizing my girlfriends, my family and my music above everything else and trying things I never thought I'd try. It's really been a liberating and freeing time," she said.
Swift said her new "1989" is not a heartbreak record. "My music is derived from what's happening in my personal life, and I haven't had my heart broken. . . . I just haven't been devastated in the last couple of years," she said.
Swift added that "the idea of a date gives me a partial panic attack. It includes 40 paparazzi cameras shooting through windows at us, and that's not relaxing or alluring for me. . . . But I'm fine! I have two cats. That's all I need."
