'Hunger Games' to be shown in IMAX
The much-anticipated movie "The Hunger Games" will get the IMAX treatment for a one-week engagement in addition to playing in regular theaters beginning March 23, reports Newsday's Rafer Guzmán. A joint statement from Lionsgate Pictures and IMAX Corp. said the film -- based on the bestseller by Suzanne Collins -- will be "digitally remastered into the image and sound quality" of the IMAX format. The movie stars Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence.
