England's Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have named the cocker spaniel puppy they adopted last month.
The British newspaper The Telegraph reported yesterday that on a recent visit to Rose Hill Primary School in Oxford, Middleton was handed a toy dog the children had chosen for her.
"She said, 'What's it called?,' " said Lisa Hancock, manager of the school's art room, "and we said, 'Would you like to give it a name?' "
Middleton, 30, suggested calling it after her own dog, Lupo. The name, was later confirmed by a St. James's Palace spokesman.
