Actress Jennie Garth, recently separated from her husband of 11 years, actor Peter Facinelli, says she believes single life "will not be easy." But in a clip from her upcoming reality show, which aired Wednesday on NBC's "Today," she said that moving with the couple's three daughters to a California farm for the CMT series is "the right thing for us right now. I feel it in my heart."

On Tuesday, she made her first public comments about the split, assuring "Access Hollywood's" Billy Bush and Kit Hoover that, "We're doing great."

She told them she "had no idea" of an impending divorce when the couple agreed to do the show, now called "Jennie Garth: A Little Bit Country." As for continuing with it, "I've wanted to move out of the city for a while and something inside of me said, 'It's time,' " she said. "I needed that sort of shelter; some things in my life have been transitioning. I just needed that."

The actress, 39, said that Facinelli, 38, would not be part of her show, which premieres next month, but that the series would address the breakup.
