Jennifer Lawrence welcomes first child

Jennifer Lawrence is officially a new mom.

The Oscar-winning actor and her husband, Cooke Maroney, were seen strolling with their new baby, People magazine reports. It is not known when exactly the child was born, nor whether it is a boy or a girl.

The news broke in September that the couple, who were married in October 2019, were going to become first-time parents. People confirmed in September that Lawrence and Maroney, who were first linked in June 2018, were expecting their first child together. The couple became engaged in February 2019.

Lawrence, 31, has been very private about her family life, and has said she intends to be especially guarded about her children. "If I was at a dinner party, and somebody was like, 'Oh, my God, you're expecting a baby,' I wouldn't be like, 'God, I can't talk about that. Get away from me, you psycho!' But every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can," she said in a Vainty Fair interview published in December.
