Jennifer Lopez, Casper Smart split after two years, reports say

Jennifer Lopez and her boyfriend, dancer-choreographer Casper Smart, have broken up after a two-and-a-half year relationship, according to multiple reports.

The relationship had "just run its course," People magazine reports. During the past two weeks, rumors had surfaced that Smart had cheated on Lopez with a transgender model he met online.

Lopez, 44, and Smart, 27, were first identified as a couple in November 2011, four months after she split from her third ex-husband, Marc Anthony (they are the parents of 6-year-old twins Max and Emme). Since then, Smart has accompanied Lopez on red-carpet appearances and has taken vacations with her and the twins.

In a January 2013 interview with Harper's Bazaar, the "American Idol" judge described Smart as her best friend. "I can tell him everything, when I'm feeling down, when I'm feeling good," she said. "He gives moral support, endless love and support."

Lopez seemed ambivalent about marrying a fourth time. "I don't know. We'll see. I don't know," she said in January. "You know, I've always believed in that institution. I believe in it, but it is difficult. I've had my challenges, but at the same time I believe in love, and I think that is the main thing."

In addition to Anthony, to whom she was wed for 7 and a half years, Lopez' ex-husbands include waiter Ojani Noa (1997-98) and former backup dancer Cris Judd (2001-02). She had also been engaged to actor Ben Affleck.
